
Jennifer has always wanted to be a multi-tasking superstar. In her youth she was a fan of a range of musical styles, including Afro-Caribbean rhythms like salsa, merengue and bachata. She also enjoyed mainstream music such as pop, hip-hop and R&B. Even though she was a huge fan of music, her interest in the world of film was also high. West Side Story (1961), Rita Moreno's musical that has had the most influence on her is also her biggest influence. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Apart from becoming a budding entertainer, Jennifer is also a Catholic girl who spent eight years of the Catholic primary school known as Holy Family located in The Bronx, before graduating from an all girls prep school, Preston High School after the four-year period. In the school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete and was a participant in tennis and track. Jennifer spent the majority of her time raising her children in a two-story home in the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer quit her home at the age of turned 18 and moved in with her parents. Lopez worked at a law office at the time while performing dance at night.
