Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills in 1956. Her family consisted of her mother, who was an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. At a young stage of life, McCormick was a singer and dance and would often present puppet shows to kids in the community. McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was approached by Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to join the business of show production. McCormick's first job as a professional was in 1964 when she appeared in a TV commercial for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical Wind It up and It Breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids to play the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared the same family as a blended one. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick admitted the story Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year period of the show. The actress was sixteen years old and the actor was 19 at that time. The two of us could have been in a relationship, said she. But the timing wasn't the right time.
